XIX International Multidisciplinary Scientific GeoConference SGEM 2019

From 30th June to 6th July, the 19th year of International Multidisciplinary Scientific GeoConference SGEM was hosted by Maritim Hotel Paradise Blue Albena in Bulgaria. The main aim of the conference was to highlight and discuss possible solutions to the challenges of global changes. The conference was attended by 19,940 participants from countries all around the world. There were 14,990 papers in 28 different sections. The conference participants had the opportunity to share the results of their research activities in the form of presentations and posters. They also tried to gain new contacts to exchange their experiences and knowledge. For the participants, the Conference Organizing Committee organized a "tour" of cultural monuments to the nearby town of Nessebar. At the event, the Department of Pedology and Geology were represented by Ing. Martin Juriga, who presented the results of his dissertation thesis.
