EAAP Annual Meeting on-line

the EAAP Annual Conference is currently being held online, until 4th of December 2020.

The EAAP Conference kicked off this morning, with a Plenary session on "Responsibility of Animal Production on Climate Change" where the three speakers, gave extremely interesting and insightful presentations about the real impact of livestock to climate change. First speaker was Georg Kaser, glaciologist at the University of Innsbruck in Austria, focused on Global Climate and Climate Politics.

Second was Frank Mitloehner from University of California Davis in the USA that presented the role of methane in global warming and the project rethinking methane; highlighting the difference between CO2 and CH4.

The final presentation was by Umberto Bernabucci from University of Tuscia in Italy, whose presentation showed adaptation actions to reduce environmental impact on livestock farming.
