AFISHE consortium project meeting at the University of Dubrovnik
16.06.2025
Cooperation within the AFISHE project started in 2022. It is an international project whose main objective is to implement 3 new Master's degree programmes in Armenia and Ukraine, focusing on fish production and processing.
Related to this goal is the development of curriculum, educational materials, training of teaching and non-teaching staff, creation of infrastructural networks, etc. All this can only be managed through high-quality international cooperation between universities and the labour market. In addition to our University, the partners in the project are teams from universities and academy of science in Armenia, Ukraine, Portugal and Croatia.
In addition to online communication, face to face meetings are held regularly at one of the project partners. This year, the preparation of the meeting was again taken over by the Croatian partners, who organised it at the University of Dubrovnik from 26 to 29 May 2025 for all project partners. The AFISHE project is slowly entering its final phase, in which the work of the different teams responsible for the identified work packages needs to be evaluated. These were agreed at the first partners' meeting. From our university, the meeting was attended by assoc. prof. Jaroslav Andreji, PhD. and assoc. prof. Martin Fik, PhD. from the Institute of Animal Husbandry. Our team is responsible for educational activities, assessing the quality of project delivery in terms of organisation, management, delivery and quality of outputs. In addition to the presentation of the evaluation of the quality of the outputs, the next steps related to the completion of the project were agreed. The final meeting will be held in Yerevan, Armenia, at the end of October 2025. Such mutual meetings, in addition to evaluating previous activities and setting a new direction, are of great importance in building new partnerships.
