Annual meeting at the University of Nottingham, Great Britain
28.05.2018As a part of the implementation of international European project funded by the programme Horizon 2020 named “European Plant Phenotyping Network 2020”, the annual meeting was held at the University of Nottingham, Great Britain.
As a part of the implementation of international European project funded by the programme Horizon 2020 named “European Plant Phenotyping Network 2020”, the annual meeting was held at the University of Nottingham, Great Britain. The major project covering the main actors of Plant Phenomics Community involves also the Department of Plant Physiology, FAFR SAU Nitra. The participants from 21 partners / 11 EU countries took part in the meeting. The host of the meeting was the Computer Science Department, University of Nottingham and the meeting was held in a modern Jubilee Campus of the university. At the meeting, our faculty was represented by Prof. Marián Brestič and Assoc. Prof. Marek Živčák. The program of the meeting involved mostly the reports on the project progress, project management issues, including reports of the leaders of individual Work Packages. Moreover, instructions for the next project implementation was an important part of the program. As the project intends to connect the phenotyping community, the meeting was organized by the way which enables the scientific discussions and building the views on the future progress in the field, including non-formal meetings and discussions. As a part of the meeting, one-day course on Deep learning methods in image analysis was organized on 23 May 2018.
