Beekeeping Congress in Turkey

The 8th International Beekeeping and Pine Honey Congress took place in Mugla, Turkey, from 24 to 27 November 2024. The Congress was attended by around 2,000 participants, and an exhibition was organized in parallel with it, where producers of beekeeping equipment and feed, as well as organizations presenting beekeeping projects and education, were presented.
Scientific contributions and discussion forums took place in two parallel sections, Slovak beekeeping research was represented by a representative of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Food Resources, Assoc. Prof. Róbert Chlebo, through a lecture and participation in moderated discussions.
The General Assembly of the European Beekeeping Federation Apislavia, based in Slovakia, was also held as part of the Congress. A new leadership of this organization was elected, which set itself the goal of reviving the activities of this international organization. Róbert Chlebo continues in the position of Executive Secretary.
