Conference The Future of European Beekeeping

On Saturday, March 7, 2020, „bee“ hotel NH Bratislava Gate One hosted the conference „Future of European Beekeeping“ subtitled „European Bees under pressure of Asian predators Vespa velutina and Varroa destructor.
The first thematic block was devoted to the experience of French beekeepers and veterinarians Jean-Luc Denéchèra and Étienne Calais in the fight against the invasive predator Asian hornet Vespa velutina nigrithorax, which had already penetrated French territory in 2006, from where has spread to the other Europen regions, including Germany and United Kingdom. Ján Ondrasik, a professional French beekeeper of Slovak origin, shared his apiculture experience from the southwest of France.
