International conference „Animal Physiology, Welfare and Nutrition 2019“

On November 7-8, 2019, workers from the Department of Animal Nutrition, assoc. prof. Gálik, prof. Bíro, prof. Šimko and assoc. prof. Juráček, as well as workers from the Department of Animal Husbandry, prof. Margetín and assoc. prof. Vavrišínová participated on the international scientific conference with the animal physiology, welfare and nutrition topics. Organizer of the conference was the Faculty of Agriculture, South Bohemia University in Ceske Budejovice. During the conference, different topics were presented, as alternative protein sources in animal nutrition, high energy corn silage production, animal welfare, cattle breeding management, software management and others. Researchers of both departments presented results of their scientific and educational projects from different aspects of animal production area, utilisation of feed additives in animal nutrition, silage feeds quality, as well as the meat quality of lambs and veals from different husbandry and fattening systems. During the conference, there was a round table discussion about cooperation of participant institutes.
