The 21st Czech and Slovak Conference on Plant Protection

The 21st Czech and Slovak Conference on Plant Protection was held on September 5 -- 6, 2018 at the Mendel University in Brno, Czech Republic. At the conference, participants from the Department of Plant Protection (FAFR SUA in Nitra) presented the results of their scientific and research activities in the form of lectures and posters. Mycological section was closed by prof. Ing. Radovan Pokorný, Ph.D. - Head of the Institute for Crop Science, Breeding and Plant Medicine of the Mendel University in Brno with statements that the future of plant medicine is well guaranteed in our both countries. During the social event a challenge trophy of the conference was handed over to the head of Department of Plant Protection - prof. Ing. Ľudovít Cagáň, CSc. He expressed his thankfulness to the organizers for a well-organized conference, and invited all participants to the 22nd Slovak and Czech Conference on Plant Protection, which will be held in Nitra in 2020. Year 2020 will be very significant as it was declared by FAO as the International Year of Plant Health.
