13.10.2026
The international symposium Animal Science Days (https://animalsciencedays.org), held for the 34th time this year, is one of the regular scientific events in the field of animal science. It brought together scientists and experts from universities and research institutions in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia, Slovenia, Austria, Hungary, and Italy. This year, the participants met in Tábor, Czech Republic, from 22 to 25 September 2026. In the Animal Genetics and Genomics session, Prof. Radovan Kasarda, PhD, Adrián Halvoník, PhD, and Karolína Pálešová from the Institute of Nutrition and Genomics at the Faculty of Agrobiology and Food Resources of the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra presented their research. Their presentations featured results from the genomic analysis of reproductive traits in rainbow trout, comparison of selection signals among Holstein cattle populations, and the detection of regions of increased heterozygosity in the genome of the Norik of Muran horse.
