The next phase of the ERASMUS+ AFISHE
11.03.2024The next phase of the ERASMUS+ AFISHE project in the field of capacity building in higher education took place in Nitra.
The AFISHE project utilizes the concept from education to ecology in order to strengthen the existing research cooperation links between universities and businesses. The main outcomes of the project should be 3 new and updated Master's degree programmes in Armenia and Ukraine, teaching and learning materials, upgraded infrastructure and well-trained teaching and non-teaching staff, as well as a network created between universities and the labour market, which will contribute to the training and retraining of needed professionals in Armenia and Ukraine. For this reason, 11 teaching staff from Armenia (Armenian National Agricultural University and National Academy of Sciences of Armenia) and Ukraine (National University of Water and Environmental Engineering) participated in a two-week training course aimed at skills acquisition, development and improvement of educational programs based on current knowledge using modern teaching methods. They received training in areas such as Fishery, Aquaculture, Technology in Fish Farming, Biodiversity, Biostatistics, Ecotoxicology, Biochemistry and Physiology of Fish or Methodology of Scientific Research and Publication. Training was supervised by prof. Kasarda, doc. Moravčíková, doc. Candrák, doc. Andreji, doc. Fik from FAFR and Ing. Kováčik (FBFS). The participants were interested in the practical teaching process of the individual courses, the equipment of the laboratories for teaching and research as well as the computer and multimedia technology in teaching. As part of the presentation of our university and faculty, they attended a meeting in the Slovak Agricultural Library, visited Agrobiotech research facilities and a tour of the SUA campus connected with practical demonstrations of falconry and dog training. The final point of the programme was the presentation of the draft syllabus of new study courses at individual institutions as well as pedagogical output - a model lesson. As can be seen in the attached photos, all graduates were awarded with a certificate of successful completion of the training.
