VISIT FROM INDIA AT THE INSTITTE OF AGRONOMIC SCIENCES

The Institute of Agronomic Sciences, Faculty of Agrobiology and Food Resources (FAaFR) hosted university teacher, Dr. Ramakanth Illa - Vice-Dean of Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT), Nuzvid, Andhra Pradesh, India. Within the ERASMUS +Mundus presented the possibilities of long-term and sustainable cooperation in the field of bio-nano-technologies usable in agricultural production with regard to IT technologies. Cooperation with RGUKT has already taken place among the academic staff of the university within the framework of previous European projects and some research and development activities have already been published and further results indicate considerable potential and the possibility of more intensive cooperation. Institute of Agronomic Sciences is represented by Mgr. Marek Kolenčík, PhD.

Both sides agreed on further steps in the preparation of joint publications in the use of different types of nanomaterials (metal nanoparticles, metal oxide nanoparticles, fullerenes, etc.), student exchange, and further development of cooperation and preparation of project intentions, which should in the near future to cover another memorandum of cooperation. The exchange stay included a visit to the individual laboratories of the departments of the Institute of Agronomic Sciences, a working meeting with the Vice-Dean for Foreign Relations and Practice prof. Ing. Radovan Kasarda, PhD., As well as the presentation of strategic calls to expand cooperation for other departments, institutes and faculties operating at the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra.
