XXIV. The Scientific Conference of Students and the work of young candidates of science

At the Faculty of Agrobiology and Food Resources (FAFR), on 25th April 2018, the 24th edition of the Scientific Conference of Students was held on the occasion of the University Day of Student Science Conferences at SPU.
At the Faculty of Agrobiology and Food Resources (FAFR), on 25th April 2018, the 24th edition of the Scientific Conference of Students was held on the occasion of the University Day of Student Science Conferences at SPU. The Scientific Conference of Students at the FAFR opened doc. Ing. Kamil Hudec, PhD., the vice-dean for Science and Research. He appreciated the students' courage to present the results of their research activities and stressed that despite the fact that the conference was competitive, the winners would become all participants.
This year's Students' Scientific Conference was attended by 73 students. Students presented their work in the 6th sections: (1) Plant Agrobiology, (2) Sustainable Agriculture and Environmental Science, (3) Human Nutrition, (4) Animal Production and Husbandry, (5) Animal Nutrition, (6) Genetic Technologies and Veterinary Disciplines. The competitive nature of the conference was ensured by the fact that the evaluation commissions valued the work and presentations of the students according to the predetermined evaluation criteria. The members of the evaluation committees stated that the level of presentation of individual students was relatively high.
